This Privacy Policy explains how AIVC (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using AIVC, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

• Account & Profile Data: To create a personalized experience, we collect your email (for sign-in), nickname, and avatar.
• Preferences (Gender & Language): We collect your Gender and Preferred Language to provide accurate matching filters and to ensure the AI translation engine functions correctly.
• User Content: Direct chat messages and text prompts sent to the AI Companion.

B. Device Permissions (Crucial for Functionality)

To provide a video chat experience, the App requires the following permissions:

• Camera Access: Required to facilitate live video calls and to allow the AI to perform "Blur-Until-Safe" safety screening.
• Microphone Access: Required for audio transmission during calls and to enable "Live AI Captions" and "Real-Time Translation."
• Photo Library (Optional): Required only if you choose to upload a profile picture from your device.

Note: You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings, though the App’s core features will cease to function.

C. Real-Time Communication Data (Transient Processing)

• Audio/Video Streams: We process video and audio in real-time for safety (blurring) and accessibility (captions).
• No Recording Policy: We do not record or store your live video or audio calls on our servers. All processing is "transient" (temporary) and is deleted immediately after the session concludes.

D. Automatically Collected Data

• Technical Identifiers: Device model, OS version, and Firebase installation IDs.
• Usage Metrics: Feature interaction and crash reports.
• Advertising IDs: (e.g., IDFA/AAID) used where permitted for AdMob performance measurement.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Matching & Filtering: Using your Gender and Language data to connect you with relevant users.
• AI Safety Systems: Using the Camera feed for the "Blur-Until-Safe" screening to prevent the display of inappropriate content.
• Accessibility: Using the Microphone feed to generate live subtitles and translations.
• Community Moderation: Reviewing reports to block and ban violators (Zero-Tolerance).

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We partner with trusted providers to ensure high-quality service:

• Google Firebase: For secure user authentication and database management.
• Google Gemini / AI Services: To power real-time translation and conversational AI.
• Google AdMob: To deliver advertisements. You can manage ad-tracking in your device settings.

4. Data Retention & Your Rights

• Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data (including Gender and Language preferences) at any time via the "Delete Account" button in the App Settings.

5. Children’s Privacy

AIVC is a 18+ only platform. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a user is under 18, we will terminate the account and delete all associated data immediately.
